REST & JSON

Plain HTTPS requests, JSON responses – works with any language.

One API key

Create it yourself in the customer center, revoke it any time.

Domain prices

Live prices for every TLD we offer, including renewals.

Request log

Every call is logged in your account for 90 days.

01 Overview

The Neurovexa API is a REST API over HTTPS. Every response is JSON encoded in UTF-8. All endpoints share one base URL, which contains the API version:

https://api.beta-netz.de/v1

Currently available endpoints:

MethodPathDescription
GET/domain/pricesPrices for all domain extensions (TLDs) we offer – details

We will add further endpoints to version v1 without breaking existing ones (section 06).

02 Authentication

Every request needs your personal API key in the X-API-KEY header:

X-API-KEY: YOUR_API_KEY
  • Create a key: log in to the customer center and open API. Click the button to generate a key – it is shown on the same page.
  • One key per account: generating a new key replaces the old one immediately. Requests with the old key then return 401.
  • Keep it secret: the key acts on behalf of your account. Use it only on servers, store it in an environment variable, and never put it in browser JavaScript, apps or public repositories. If it leaks, generate a new one right away.
  • HTTPS only: send requests over HTTPS so the key is never transmitted in plain text.

03 Domain prices

GET /domain/prices

Returns the current prices for all domain extensions we offer, as an array with one object per TLD. The request has no parameters and no body.

Response fields

FieldTypeDescription
tldstringTop-level domain without a leading dot, for example com or de.
createstringPrice to register the domain for one year.
renewstringPrice to renew the domain for one year.
transferstringPrice to transfer the domain to Neurovexa.
updatestringPrice for a contact or data update at the registry (usually 0.00).
ownerchangestringPrice for a change of the domain holder (owner change), where the registry charges one.
restorestringPrice to restore a deleted domain from the redemption period.

All prices are in euros (EUR), per year where a period applies, with two decimal places and a dot as decimal separator. They are returned as strings so that no rounding errors occur – convert them with a decimal type if you calculate with them. The prices are the same as when ordering in the customer center at the time of the request.

Example request

curl -s https://api.beta-netz.de/v1/domain/prices \
  -H "X-API-KEY: YOUR_API_KEY"

Example response (shortened, example values)

04 Status codes and errors

We use standard HTTP status codes. If a request fails, the body contains a JSON object with an error message:

StatusBodyMeaning
200 OKJSON arrayThe request succeeded.
401 Unauthorized{"error": "Unauthorized: API Key missing"}The X-API-KEY header was not sent.
401 Unauthorized{"error": "Unauthorized: Invalid API Key"}The key does not exist – for example because it was regenerated in the customer center.
5xx–Temporary problem on our side. Retry later with a growing delay; check the system status.

Check the status code before reading the body. Please cache prices on your side instead of requesting them for every page view – refreshing them a few times a day is enough.

05 Request log

For your security and for troubleshooting, we log every API request made with your key: the endpoint, HTTP method, request headers and body, our response, your IP address, user agent and the time. You can see your log on the API page of the customer center.

Log entries are deleted automatically after 90 days. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

06 Versioning and changes

  • Non-breaking changes – new endpoints, new optional parameters or new fields in a response – can be added to v1 at any time. Write your client so that it ignores fields it does not know.
  • Breaking changes – removing or renaming fields or endpoints – only come with a new version (for example /v2). We announce them in advance and keep the previous version running for a transition period.

07 Code examples

Each example loads the domain prices. Replace YOUR_API_KEY or set the environment variable NEUROVEXA_API_KEY.

cURL

curl -s https://api.beta-netz.de/v1/domain/prices \
  -H "X-API-KEY: YOUR_API_KEY"

PHP

<?php
$ch = curl_init('https://api.beta-netz.de/v1/domain/prices');
curl_setopt_array($ch, [
    CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER => true,
    CURLOPT_HTTPHEADER => ['X-API-KEY: ' . getenv('NEUROVEXA_API_KEY')],
]);
$prices = json_decode(curl_exec($ch), true);

foreach ($prices as $p) {
    echo $p['tld'] . ': ' . $p['create'] . " EUR\n";
}

JavaScript

// Node.js 18+ (server side only – never expose your key in a browser)
const res = await fetch('https://api.beta-netz.de/v1/domain/prices', {
  headers: { 'X-API-KEY': process.env.NEUROVEXA_API_KEY },
});
if (!res.ok) throw new Error((await res.json()).error);
const prices = await res.json();
console.log(prices.find(p => p.tld === 'com'));

Python

import os, requests

res = requests.get(
    'https://api.beta-netz.de/v1/domain/prices',
    headers={'X-API-KEY': os.environ['NEUROVEXA_API_KEY']},
    timeout=10,
)
res.raise_for_status()
for p in res.json():
    print(p['tld'], p['create'])

08 Support and terms

Questions about the API, a missing endpoint or a problem with your key: open a ticket in the support center or write to info@neurovexa.us. Please never send your API key in a message.

The use of the API is subject to our Terms of Service. Do not use it to overload our systems; we may block keys that cause abuse or excessive load.
